AirSplat Supports Our Troops

AirSplat Supports Our Troops
AirSplat Supports Our Troops
In our ever increasing support of our troops we have created this page to show our appreciation to those who put their lives on the line to ensure our liberties. From the GI of World War II to those coming home from Operation Iraqi freedom, AirSplat is proud to support all veterans. Airsoft is a sport largely based on military simulation. Players play the roles of the GI that keep our country free. We strongly believe in supporting our troops and GI for their services. Plus, airsoft would not be the same without them. As the nation's largest airsoft retailer, we have the means to reach out to organizations that aid our GI veterans. We honor and repay them by holding special airsoft events and providing special offers that benefit the GI aiding organizations that help our GI veterans get back on their feet. We offer sponsorships of organizations who work hard to provide necessities and comforts to the GI that need it the most. From Guns, Guts to Glory, our veterans and active duty GI military personnel risk all they have, and all they are to ensure that the freedom of America and the world will live on. AirSplat, the airsoft community, and the citizens of this nation owe a great debt of gratitude for the sacrifices and services of all members of our armed forces.

We also work heavily with Government Agencies to ensure they receive the best training equipment possible. Check out this page for more details: http://www.airsplat.com/government-airsoft.htm

Donation to US Army Base in Fort Sill, Oklahoma

AirSplat donated some AirSplat sweaters, shirts, backpacks, and swag to an Army base in Fort Still, OK! These backbacks were requested by Staff Sergeant Parrish for training purposes due to budget cuts. Airsplat is always looking for ways to give back to the community and what better way to do this than by helping our troops!

AirSplat, the airsoft community, and the citizens of this nation owe a great debt of gratitude for the sacrifices and services of all members of our armed forces. Thank you!

California State Military Reserve Recruiting Task Force-South

On April 25, 2012, we helped sponsor the California State Military Reserve's Recruiting Task Force-South's recruiting outreach at the California Police Expo. They recruit at events such as the Police Expo, Chino Air Show, Car Shows, and other events in Southern California. We contributed the A&K M249 MKII Airsoft SAW Machine Gun for their staging and public involvment. AirSplat is always happy to support our military in any which way possible.

The letter reads:
The officers and enlisted cadre of Recruiting Task Force South wish to sincerely thank you and AirSplat for your kind assistance is helping our unit secure the AirSplat M249 SAW for our recruiting outreach.
AirSplat is well-known for its support of our military, both through its training products, and contributions. AirSplat’s Founder started with a humble beginning. He had a good idea, and was able to run with it. He and his company obviously respect the opportunities that have been afforded him, and you put forth the extra effort to give back a little when a situation arises. We are grateful for your support.
We will put the M249 SAW to good use. We completed our modifications and began displaying the weapon at our recruiting event this past weekend at the Southern California Police Expo at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. Attached are some photographs for you to see the fruits of your kindness.

Sincerely,
Recruiting Task Force South

AnySoldier.com

AirSplat has also teamed up with AnySoldier.com in the summer of 2010 to provide savings for Airsofters as well as a percentage towards the sponsored charity! With AnySoldier.com, you can save 5% on your airsoft order, but in addition to that, 5% of your airsoft order will be donated to AnySoldier.com. AnySoldier.com is an charity organization that offers care packages to our GI service members overseas. They also provide a channel for our troops overseas to be contacted directly for any donations of supplies, gear and much more.

Here's their story:
It was March 26th, 2003. Army Sergeant Brian Horn, one of 1,000 soldiers, parachuted into enemy territory in Northern Iraq.

Five months later, Brian Horn was able to call his parents. Marty and Sue Horn had been sending their son an average of six care packages per week. So when Brian asked his parents to send more, "my wife and I thought he was kidding!" Marty Horn told me. "But Brian said, 'no -- its for the GI that don't get any.'"

Both Marty and Sue Horn had spent their careers in the Military, so they immediately understood what Brian was saying. Millions of GI men and GI women serving overseas never receive any mail. Besides often lacking basic necessities, and entertainment items such as airsoft guns and airsoft accessories, which are also useful for training, these men and women have to cope with the harsh conditions of serving overseas without signs of support from friends and family back home.

The Horns developed the idea for AnySoldier.com during that phone call. Marty created a website that explained the project and offered Brian's address -- including the words "Attn: Any Soldier". Brian would give these packages to the GI not receiving any mail. After his service in the Military, Marty had gotten involved in the still-young Internet. He knew how much opportunity the Internet offered, but even he was amazed at the results. "Within two weeks, we were getting flooded with email from all over the world. It was like an avalanche."

The project's growth kept up its tremendous pace. In January 2004, in response to many requests, the Horns opened up the project to the other Military branches. Within one year, they went from seven Military GI contacts distributing "Any Soldier" packages to 3,500.

"It just exploded like an airsoft grenade. It literally took on a life of its own... Honestly, we started this as a way to help my son and his GI troops. Imagine camping or playing at a 72 hour airsoft operation-- it's hard enough to get stuff, imagine being one in a thousand GI who parachuted behind enemy lines for real. " Marty said.

AnySoldier has also offered support to wounded Marines recuperating from injuries; assisted in procuring and importing wheelchairs for crippled Afghani children; helped bring attention to and arrange shipments of much-needed medical supplies and textbooks for distribution throughout the Iraqi medical system; and many other projects. AnySoldier packages from supporters have also contributed to the distribution of toys, books, and necessary supplies and training tools such as airsoft guns and gear to civilians and GI soldiers living in war zones.
