This is the new Fuzzy Logic Computer Charger by Systema. Systema
is famous for their high quality AEG upgrade parts that many of us
must know by now, their dedication and expertise to the sport has
made it one of the biggest airsoft companies in the world. All their
products are precision made and designed in Japan, they represent
the highest technology in airsoft. Their metal bodies and custom guns
are also the best in the sport, recently Systema had started to design
a digital charger for Ni-Cad batteries; the result is the Systema
Fuzzy Logic Computer Charger. It is one of the most advance and most
efficient chargers on the airsoft market.

| |
The Systema
Fuzzy Logic Charger is constructed of a metal shell all around the
body. It has a wide heat sink in the rear and an internal cooling
fan to suppress the heat that is generated when charging batteries.
The charger consists of a lighted up digital display, led indicator
light, mode select button and a amperage selector knob. It has a AC/DC
2way Power System, 1/2/3 DC function, discharging function, Delta-Peak
Auto Cut function and an Auto Voltage Selection function. This baby
can charge every imagineabl Ni-Cad battery from 7.2V to 12V batteries.
It is not solely an airsoft battery charger, as it also charges batteries
found in most remote control toys and other similar models. This also
explains the hefty price tag of $250 US.

The
digital display on the Fuzzy Logic Charger is crystal clear and
informative. It clearly states the amount of charge in the battery,
the voltage, the amperage it is charging at and the elapsed time.
The display indicates a little negative symbol when it is discharging
and a positive symbol when it is charging. It took me less than
35mins to completely discharge my 9.6V 2000mah battery and recharge
it to the max. The charger automatically detects when the battery
is full of charge and stops charging the battery. The information
on the display updates instantaneously making it a very accurate
charger. When the charger is plugged into the wall without a battery
connected to it, it makes a constant static ticking sound. When
a battery is plugged into the red and black outlet the charger
states the amount of charge in the battery immediately.
|
| |
The LED light is green when it is charging and red when it is discharging.
The Model Selector button starts the charging, holding it down for 2
seconds activates the discharging function. Once the battery is fully
charge, it warns you with a continuous beeping sound and stops charging
the battery, the beeping stops once you unplug the battery. The power
knob is probably the most important switch on the charger, it determines
how fast to charge the battery and with what amperage. The settings
are marked for you, starting from minumum at the very bottom left, moving
clockwise, starts with "600mA Batt Max",
"500mA Batt
Max" followed by "1300mA
Max" then last
"2000mA Batt Max". The Systema
Charger comes in a brownish box similar to the boxes that come with
Systema metal bodies. Inside the box you will see the charger rapped
in bubble plastic, various plugs including the wall jack, car battery
plugs, small battery adapter and large battery adapter, aswell as a
Japanese manual |

The finish
on this charger is truly spectacular, I have seen quite a few hi-end
chargers but nothing is remotely close to this. Also other chargers
that have the same function as this one are usually big and bulky,
but this charger is light, compact and mobile. It also comes with
a car battery plug so you can use it at the field without a wall socket.
With the lighted up digital display you can even charge it at night
or in low light areas. I find this charger to be very convenient since
once you plug the battery in and press the charging button, you pretty
much can forget about it. Although this charger is very advance, it
is extremely user friendly, unless you are really stupid its relatively
easy to use.

Overall the Systema
Fuzzy Logic Computer Charger is truly a great charger with tons of features
and lots of automated functions. The technology put into this charger
is truly amazing, it can charge almost every imagineable Ni-Cad battery
making it a flexibile charger that could be used for your remote control
car batteries or your custom airsoft gun batteries. This charger is fast
and efficient but there is one major flaw about this baby. The PRICE!
At $250 US a piece, these things are a big investment that I could not
afford to make. Unless you are a super hardcore airsofter that likes to
take extremely good care of your batteries then I would not recommend
you to this charger. But if you are a retailer or a gunsmith that demand
fast and efficient charging and a very informative digital display then
this is the ultimate charger for you. |
