The wind up 600 round drum magazine feeds 240 rounds after the maximum 8 rotations ( Each rotation feeds 30 rounds) Flip up rear peep sight adjustable for elevation. The first Thompson SMG was demonstrated in 1919, but the first serial manufactured model appeared in 1921, manufactured by Colt. 1928 A1 & M1 series were manufactured by Auto-Ordnance and Savage, and licensed copies were manufactured by B.S.A. in England.
