Originally designed by the British state-owned Enfield Small Arms Company, the L85 (originally designated SA-80 for Small Arms project, 1980) was the first “bullpup” type rifle fielded for military use. Upgraded by H&K during 2000, the gun was officially re-designated the L85A2 after the upgrade. Our replica of the L85 features a 30-round detachable magazine, mock optical sight, and green-and-black construction, just like the original. Muzzle velocity is ~365fps w/ .12 gram bb’s. Since this is a spring rifle, the bolt must be manually pulled back for every shot. Attention to where the bolt is cocked is very important. Cocking this model with your fingers closest to the stem of the cocking handle will result in longer more durable use of this model.
