For more than a century the famous firearms manufacturer HFC has been well known to police, military and civilians worldwide as a maker of fine revolvers. In 1951 their reputation for quality firearms now included automatics of the 9-millimeter variety and some 30 years later produced their version of a very modern .45 caliber automatic. Although it shares some proven qualities that past .45's have shown, certain stylized and functional elements have been added to make the first generation model 645 into a true HFC gun.
