Now let us talk about the airsoft version of the famous M24. The Classic army versions of the M24 have no adjustable hopup and are made in Hong Kong where as the PDI versions have adjustable hop up and are made in Japan. The cost of the PDI version is usually around $200 US more money. I recently purchased the Classic army M24 version 2 standard. The second version has many improvements over the original release , the barrel is now a 1 peice design and the internals of the trigger system have been upgraded.

Because the internals are so much better in this new version it is able to take a 300% spring without problems. My M24 has a 300% spring, ultra high mount scope rings , a 3x9x50mm scope with flip up covers, a 6x9 Harris Ultra Light Bipod and some QD sling swivels. The gun fires 420fps with a .3 gram bb and can easily attain a 6 inch grouping at 150 feet. Because of the 300% spring the cocking handle is not as easily pulled back, in fact many people have said its pretty tough to do, the spring also has an affect on the guns trigger pull. The new trigger pull of the gun is roughly 12 pounds which is very heavy for a sniper rifle. The safety of the gun is located just beside the bolt.

The scope is a 3x9x50mm Coptics scope with flip up see through scope covers, the rings are ultra high weaver rings. The bipod on this gun is a harris 6x9" ultralight, i have Uncle Mikes sling swivels and the sling I made from nylon webbing from Canadian issue buttpacks.

There are 4 different variants of the M24 available at present. The PDI Standard and Military Model, and the Classic army Standard and Military Model. PDI makes only 2 versions of the M24, the military version with a fluted barrel and the standard version with a bull barrel. Classic Army has made 4 versions so far , the military version (w/fluted barrel, non-adjustable hopup), standard version (bull barrel, non adjustable hopup) and second generation of above with upgraded internals and one piece barrels
